Interaction Design Foundation (Member)
An independent non-profit initiative with an objective of increasing the level of global design education to an Ivy League standard, while at the same time reducing costs to as low as possible. Democratising learning by providing top-notch curricular materials, and aim to strike the perfect balance between academic rigor and practical relevance.

Design Madison (Former Education Chair, Secretary)
The purpose of Design Madison is to amplify the impact that design plays in the structure of society and business. Design Madison will continually initiate innovative ways to improve the quality of life for a broad community of designers.

Wright Design Series (Former Advisory Board Member)
The Wright Design Series was inspired by master designer Frank Lloyd Wright, who, although known for his architectural designs, also created designs in furniture, clothing, textiles and tableware.  The free lecture/discussions  highlight a wide array of design topics, including architecture.   Relevant topics relating to design in everyday life are addressed, including the design of objects, environments, information, and experiences.  Topics for the series are chosen with input from an advisory committee comprised of professionals and experts in the fields of architecture, interior design, graphic design/visual communication and industrial design. The series is intended to appeal to everyone with an interest in design… from design professionals to the avid learning enthusiast.  

Design Like Mad (Volunteer Participant)
A one-day design marathon benefitting approved non-profits. As a part of a design and development team of people who have never worked together before we were brought together to build a new website for our non-profit client, Regent Soccer Club. We met once with our client before the scheduled event and on the day of the event, we planned, designed and developed a website for them in one day.

Madison Adobe Users Group (Member)
The Madison Adobe Users Group is a group of designers and developers with a wide variety of skills and experiences – from students, to professionals. Our mission to help each other grow through presentation, discussion, and hands on experience though group projects and presenter led meetings.  

Social Media Breakfast – Madison (Member)
Social Media Breakfast Madison is a non profit business group with a focus on social media as a channel. 

I also attend other local events through professional organizations such as Social Media Club Madison, American Advertising Federation (AAF) – Madison, Madison Public Relations Society of American (PRSA), American Marketing Association (AMA) – Madison, and AIGA Wisconsin.
