• Adult Student Guide

The Adult Student Guide for the UW System introduces prospective students to the delivery methods available to a non-traditional student and walks them through the steps to enroll. I have managed the project from proof of concept through to delivery of print product in house.

My objective for the design of this book was to create something that would not become outdated immediately after printing as campus contact information, services and Majors are constantly changing. I created a booklet that contained the information that doesn’t change, then created inserts that can be printed on a yearly basis to provide the most current data to a prospective student. We ordered larger quantities of the booklet, to save money on printing costs and then ordered smaller amounts of the inserts, enough to provide us materials for one year. When the 2o13 data is available we will create inserts based on the 2013 data to be placed within the booklets.

Our guides also included the use of a trackable Quick Response (QR) code. When a reader scans the code with their smart phone, they will be taken to a mobile site which allows for them to get the most current information and additional information and services. With the QR code being trackable, we can monitor the amount of hits that our site is getting and track where these hits are coming from.
